Would you dare to experience Mexico through its magical culture?

Getting to know Mexico is about much more than discovering its breathtaking nature. It’s also about stepping into a culture full of colors, stories, and unique traditions, where ancient customs continue to be part of everyday life.

Ceremony day of the deathOne of the most special is Day of the Dead. In Mexico, death is not seen as the end of life, but as the beginning of another cycle.

At Mayan Monkey, we celebrate this special time of year by keeping our traditions alive and sharing them with travelers from around the world. Every November 1 and 2, we honor our traditions with candles, marigold flowers, papel picado (colorful paper banners), and pan de muerto, remembering with love those who are no longer with us: family members, friends, and even our beloved pets.

Experience the distinctive scent of marigold flowers, whose bright orange color is believed to help guide the souls of our loved ones back home to celebrate with us.

Visiting Mexico is about much more than enjoying paradise-like beaches, ancient temples, and unforgettable parties. It’s also about discovering different ways of seeing life, honoring those who came before us, and celebrating the special portal between the living and the dead.
